Fees

  • The Master’s Program in “Hydrocarbon Exploration and Production” has a total tuition fee of 5,200 euros, payable in two annual installments of 2,600 euros each.
  • Each installment must be paid before the start of each academic year [1st and 3rd semesters].
  • Pursuant to Article 86 of Law 4957/2022 “New Horizons in Higher Education Institutions: Enhancing the quality, functionality, and connection of HEIs with society and other provisions,” the following applies: Law 4957/2022, Article 86, Right to Free Enrollment in a Master’s Program with Tuition Fees – Scholarships

1. Enrolled students in a Master’s Degree Program (MDP) may study free of charge in an MDP, if tuition fees are required, provided they meet the financial or social criteria set forth herein. A prerequisite for granting the right to tuition-free enrollment based on financial or social criteria is the fulfillment of academic excellence requirements during the first cycle of studies, which corresponds to a minimum grade of 7.5 out of 10, provided that the evaluation of the basic degree submitted for admission to the Master’s Program was conducted in accordance with the ten-point grading scale of a domestic Higher Education Institution (HEI), otherwise, this criterion is applied proportionally in accordance with the applicable grading scale, provided that the submitted degree has been awarded by a foreign institution.

2. The total number of students studying tuition-free may not exceed thirty percent (30%) of the total number of enrolled students per academic year. If the calculation of the number of students eligible for tuition fee exemption results in a decimal number, it is rounded to the nearest whole number. If the number of eligible students exceeds the percentage specified herein, eligible students are selected in descending order of ranking until the quota is filled.

3. Applications for tuition-free enrollment in each graduate program under this provision are submitted after the completion of the student admission process for the graduate program.

A student in the Master’s program is eligible for tuition-free enrollment if they meet the requirement of paragraph 1, provided that the following criteria apply:
the average of the sum of the taxable incomes for the last two (2) fiscal years of all members of the family of the applicant for tuition fee exemption, namely the applicant themselves, their parents, regardless of whether they file a joint or separate tax return, and their siblings up to twenty-six (26) years of age, provided they are unmarried and have the same taxable income within the meaning of Article 7 of Law 4172/2013 (A’ 167), does not exceed seventy percent (70%) of the National Median Equivalent Disposable Income, according to the most recently published data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), if the applicant has not reached the age of twenty-six (26) and is unmarried or has not entered into a civil partnership, the average of the applicant’s individual taxable income for the last two (2) fiscal years does not exceed one hundred percent (100%) of the National Median Equivalent Disposable Income, according to the most recently published data from ELSTAT, if the applicant has reached the age of 26, the average of the sum of the taxable income for the last two (2) for the last fiscal years of the applicant seeking exemption from tuition fees and of his or her spouse or domestic partner, provided that he or she is married or has entered into a civil partnership, regardless of whether they file a joint or separate tax return, does not exceed one hundred percent (100%) of the National Median Equivalent Disposable Income, according to the most recently published data from ELSTAT.

Strengthen the important and potentially nationally significant work of the Postgraduate Program, by attracting highly qualified and academically accomplished scholarship recipients who are facing financial hardship and are unable to cover tuition costs,
To develop scientific collaboration between Hellenic Hydrocarbons and Energy Resources Management Company S.A. (HEREMA S.A.) and the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program in areas of mutual interest that align with the country’s priorities in energy matters,
To jointly develop and participate in mutually beneficial educational activities, such as field exercises and the use of specialized software.
To support the objectives and activities of the M.Sc. program, HEREMA S.A. offers three scholarships per year for three years [2023–2026] covering full tuition fees.

In addition, HERAMA S.A. provides full support for the costs of field exercises and visits to industrial facilities.
